The Splitting Algorithm for Egyptian Fractions
Let \(m/n=1/x_ 1+1/x_ 2+\dots+ 1/x_ L\) be a sum of unit fractions \(1/x_ k\), also known as Egyptian fractions (\(x_ k\), \(k=1,\dots,L\), are positive integers). The splitting algorithm acts as follows. If \(x_ k\) appears \(\mu>1\) times in the representation of \(m/n\), then \(\mu-1\) fractions \(1/x_ k\) will be replaced by the ``splitting ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Generalised split structure adaptive algorithm
A pragmatic approach is proposed to continuously split up an M = 2L length adaptive transversal filter into M parallel single-parameter subsections. The algorithm has a simple modular structure and each of the subsections can be adapted separately such that the convergence behaviour of the system is improved.

Copy Number Variants and Their Association With Intracerebral Hemorrhage Risk: A Case–Control Study
ABSTRACT Introduction Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and lacks effective therapeutic interventions. Despite previous studies, the genetic underpinnings of ICH remain poorly understood. We sought to investigate the role of copy number variants (CNVs) in ICH pathophysiology to identify novel ...
