On $$\alpha $$-Split Domination in Graphs

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, India Section A: Physical Sciences, 2022
In this paper, we present the concept of alpha-split domination in graphs. Besides, we calculate the alpha-split domination number of path, cycle, complete bipartite graphs and discuss the upper bounds for a-split domination number in terms of order p, size q and the maximum degree d.

On splitting graphs.

Ars Comb., 2007
Summary: In this paper, self-centered, bi-eccentric splitting graphs are characterized. Further various bounds for domination number, global domination number and the neighborhood number of these graphs are obtained.

Hamiltonicity in Split Graphs - A Dichotomy

2017
In this paper, we investigate the well-studied Hamiltonian cycle problem, and present an interesting dichotomy result on split graphs. T. Akiyama, T. Nishizeki, and N. Saito [23] have shown that the Hamiltonian cycle problem is NP-complete in planar bipartite graph with maximum degree 3.

Contracting a Chordal Graph to a Split Graph or a Tree

2011
The problems CONTRACTIBILITY and INDUCED MINOR are to test whether a graph G contains a graph H as a contraction or as an induced minor, respectively. We show that these two problems can be solved in |VG|f(|VH|) time if G is a chordal input graph and H is a split graph or a tree.
