Multicollisions in Sponge Construction

2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia, 2013
Cryptographic hash functions take an unfixed size of input and produce a fixed size of an output. A hash function is built using two main components: a compression function and mode of operation. Sponge construction is one of the main operations of modes used in modern cryptographic hash function today.

Bio-inspired ultrasound assisted construction of synthetic sponges

Journal of Materials Chemistry A, 2013
A porous material with a system of cavities can be considered as a sponge. The amazing mechanical, optical, electrical and sorption properties of sponge-like silicon-, carbon- and metal-based materials arose interest in novel synthetic pathways of formation of the sponges which in addition gained value in many energy and climate related issues.

Sponge-Constructed Stromatactis Mud Mounds, Silurian of Gaspe, Quebec

SEPM Journal of Sedimentary Research, 1983
ABSTRACT Stromatactis calcilutite mounds from Upper Silurian rocks of Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec, Canada. are important constituents of a reef complex in the southern part of the peninsula. They reach thicknesses up to 115 m and had paleoslopes of about 40°. Stromatactis constitutes up to 30 percent of the rock volume.

Construction of Multi-Potent MicroRNA Sponge and Its Functional Evaluation

2017
MicroRNA is a small, endogenous RNA that inhibits specific gene expression by interacting mostly on the UTR region of target mRNA. Among various methods to inhibit the microRNA, microRNA sponge is a construct designed to inhibit specific microRNA by providing excess amount of target mRNA. Here, we describe a method to generate multi-potent miRNA sponge

Sufficient Conditions on Padding Schemes of Sponge Construction and Sponge-Based Authenticated-Encryption Scheme

2012
The sponge construction, designed by Bertoni, Daemen, Peeters, and Van Assche, is the hash domain extension, which allows any hash-output size, and it was also adopted as the hash mode for several concrete hash algorithms. For its security reason, they showed that its padding scheme is required to be injective, reversible, and the last block of a ...
