Separation of non-spontaneous and spontaneous speech

Proceedings of the 1998 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, ICASSP '98 (Cat. No.98CH36181), 2002
There are many situations in which it is desirable to be able to distinguish spontaneous speech and speech which is non-spontaneous. Examples of situations in which this problem may arise include forensic evidence situations, sorting voice-mail responses from voice-mail menus, and automatic segmentation of spontaneous responses from prepared questions.

Spontaneous Pancreatitis in Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats

Pancreas, 1994
The pancreatic lesions in 6- to 36-week-old spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), stroke prone SHR (SHRSP) and Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY) were examined histopathologically. Inflammatory cell infiltration with hemorrhage and stromal fibrosis became evident in 12-week-old SHR and SHRSP together with acinar atrophy and/or degeneration and ductular ...

SPONTANEOUS CYTOTOXICITY

Australian Journal of Experimental Biology and Medical Science, 1981
SummaryWhen mouse spleen cell were cultured in vitro without the deliberate addition of any stimulating cells, T cell‐mediated cytotoxicity was generated which could be detected by lysis of 51Cr‐labelled syngeneic and allogeneic tumour target cells.

Spontaneous hemopneumothorax

Pediatric Radiology, 2002
Spontaneous hemopneumothorax is a potentially fatal condition associated with 1-12% of all spontaneous pneumothoraces. Prompt diagnosis is essential in order to allow for rapid surgical intervention. A case of a 15-year-old male with spontaneous hemopneumothorax diagnosed by CT is presented. The patient recovered after surgery with no complications.

Spontaneous pneumomediastinum

The Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1993
A case of spontaneous pneumomediastinum with cervical emphysema is reported. Spontaneous pneumomediastinum may complicate processes that decrease pulmonary interstitial pressure or increase intraalveolar pressure leading to alveolar rupture. Free air may then tract along blood vessels and decompress into the soft tissues of the neck.

SPONTANEOUS ABORTION

Primary Care: Clinics in Office Practice, 1993
Spontaneous abortion rates vary with maternal age, but the overall incidence is approximately 2% of clinically recognized pregnancies. The incidence of clinically unrecognized loss is approximately 20%. Most early fetal losses are caused by abnormal karyotypes.

SPONTANEOUS PNEUMOTHORAX

Chest Surgery Clinics of North America, 1994
Most cases of spontaneous pneumothorax can be handled either expectantly or by tube thoracostomy with good results. When surgical intervention is required, good results from treatment can be expected with minimal morbidity, a very low recurrence rate, and a mortality rate near zero. The traditional surgical approach has been a transaxillary thoracotomy

Spontaneous Networks

2011
How can we increase the capillarity of the Net without facing the daunting issues that come with large-scale infrastructures? Can we embed all necessary protocols into our terminals and then use the terminals themselves to relay packets? This chapter develops the vision of ubiquitous connectivity, pinpointing foundations and problems.
