Investigation of Oxygen‐Free Wetting Behavior of Aluminum on Copper via Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Experiments

The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.

Hyperacute spontaneous closure of a traumatic macular hole in a colobomatous eye

A 12 year old boy presented to us with complaints of diminution of vision following blunt injury to his left eye. Examination revealed a grade 5 retina-choroidal coloboma in left eye with haemorrhage at its inferior border.

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Spontaneous closure of spontaneous bladder rupture in a hemodialysis patient.

症例は39歳男性. 1996年7月, 肝腎症候群による慢性腎不全のため血液透析導入. 8月29日透析中に突然の右下腹部痛が出現. 排尿後も尿意を訴えるので, 尿道力テーテルを留置した. 1時間で約3000mlの排液があり緊満していた腹部が平坦となった. 膀胱破裂により腹水が排液したと判断された. 全身状態が不良なので, 尿道力テーテル留置で保存的に経過観察し, 入院2か月で破裂部は閉鎖した. 入院3か月後, 腹腔内に小児頭大の仮性被包化膿瘍を認めたが, これも経皮的ドレナージで治癒した.

Direct Metal Deposition of Graphene–Ti28Nb35.4Zr Matrix Composites With Enhanced Mechanical, Corrosion, and Biocompatibility Properties for Bone Implants

Graphene nanoplatelet (0.1 wt.%) reinforcement significantly enhances the performance of β Ti‐28Nb‐35.4Zr alloy. Grain refinement, reduced water contact angle, and improved surface characteristics promote osteoblast adhesion and complete surface coverage after 7 days.
