Politics and Justice: Aristotle, Rawls, and the Case for Realism in Political Theory

open access: yesPhilosophy &Public Affairs, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aristotle's analysis of stasis in Book V of the Politics offers a striking example of “distinctively political thought,” as advocated by Bernard Williams's political realism, and in contrast to the moralist approach exemplified by John Rawls. Aristotle identifies disputes over justice, driven by partial and conflicting conceptions of equality,

The Dimensional Revolution of Phosphorus: From Allotropicity to Battery System Applications

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
Phosphorus‐based materials are promising high‐capacity anodes classified by dimension (0D–3D) to systematically explore their properties and composite strategies. When combined with materials such as carbon to form heterostructures, the electrical conductivity and stability are effectively enhanced.

Entropy‐Driven Innovations: Entropy Stabilized Oxides for High‐Performance Next‐Generation Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
This article explores high‐entropy‐stabilized oxides (HEOs) as novel functional materials for addressing critical issues in lithium–sulfur (Li–S) batteries, including lithium polysulfide (LPS) shuttling, inadequate conductivity, and slow redox kinetics.

Effect of HBr on Explosion Limits of Stoichiometric Hydrogen‐oxygen Mixture

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, Volume 58, Issue 9, Page 646-657, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This work, based on numerical simulations, discusses the effect of HBr as an inhibitor on the explosion limit of stoichiometric hydrogen‐oxygen gas mixture in a closed spherical vessel. The numerical simulation solves the complete governing equations for mass, momentum, species and energy.

Field‐Cycling NMR Relaxometry in Tire Elastomer Science

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, Volume 64, Issue 9, Page 801-820, September 2026.
Field‐cycling NMR relaxometry has established as an ideal tool to investigate multiscale polymer dynamics. Here, we review and discuss applications on elastomers and elastomer compounds of interest for the tire industry to obtain information on segmental dynamics and on polymer dynamics over different regimes as a function of chain length in polymer ...

An Embodied Paper‐Based Microfluidic Al‐Air Battery for Enduring Untethered Insect‐Scale Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
This work presents a centimeter‐scale microfluidic aluminum–air battery (MFAAB) with dual‐surface anode and F−‐mediated byproduct decomposition. The design enables a high capacity of 2697.05 mAh/g Al and delivers tens of milliwatts to power LEDs, motors, and a toy car.
