Synergetic Combination of Carbon Xerogels, Graphene Oxide and nano‐ZnO for Aqueous and Organic Supercapacitors

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
This work proposes the synthesis of carbon‐based nanostructured materials obtained using ZnO as both nanos‐ template and catalysts simultaneously. During the synthesis, GO was used as a stabiliser, preventing the collapse of the 3D structure and improving its properties in terms of capacitance and surface area.

Beyond Closed Loops: Advancing Climate Change Mitigation by Collaborative Open Approaches

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Even as world leaders emphasize the urgency of limiting global warming, a slow transition to a circular economy persists. While climate mitigation efforts focus on renewable energy and efficiency measures, addressing the 45% of emissions from product manufacturing remains critical.

Study on Spontaneous Combustion Tendency of Coals with Different Metamorphic Grade at Low Moisture Content Based on TPO-DSC

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
In the environments of various open coal storage sites, mining-affected coalbeds, and goafs, etc., some coal bodies are often affected by external environmental factors. They are highly prone to spontaneous combustion in low moisture content (≤8%).

Dynamic‐FLPs Enabled by Orbital Hybridization Tuning: Boosting 100% CO Selectivity for Dilute CO2‐to‐CO Conversion

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
This study, for the first time, constructs photostructured dynamic frustrated Lewis pairs (DFLPs) via a p‐p orbital hybridization regulation strategy, achieving the 100% reduction of low‐concentration CO₂ to CO and breaking the stability‐activity trade‐off.

From Data to Dimers: Engineering Acene Derivatives for Photovoltaic Singlet Fission

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Excited‐state energies of acene derivatives are predicted using a ChemBERTa‐based regression model and subsequently used to screen candidates for photovoltaic singlet fission using dimer–monomer benchmarked energetic criteria. Promising candidates are predominantly 5‐ and 6‐fused heteroacenes, which offer enhanced stability and higher triplet energies ...
