Iatrogenic Pneumothorax Misdiagnosed as Spontaneous Pneumothorax
Pigtail catheter drainage is commonly performed for pleural effusion drainage; however, if the catheter is not connected to a closed system such as a chest bottle, as it happened in the case presented here, outside air may enter, causing iatrogenic pneumothorax.
