Sporadic Paraganglioma

AbstractParaganglioma are rare chromaffin cell tumors that develop from the neural crest cells. Parasympathetic ganglia‐derived tumors are found almost exclusively in the neck and skull base and typically do not secrete catecholamines. In contrast, most sympathetic ganglia‐derived tumors are found in the abdomen and produce an excess of catecholamines.

A BLT-set \(B\) is a set of \(q+1\) points of \(Q(4,q)\) such that no point of \(Q(4,q)\) is collinear with more than two points of \(B\).

Plasma samples from 41 mothers of haemophilic sons in "simplex families" (families with only one affected member) have been tested for factor VIII and factor-VIII-related antigen. The results suggest that 39 of these women are likely to be carriers of haemophilia.

Where goiter is endemic, the frequent occurrence of goiter in the newborn infant has been well documented. Sporadic goiter of the newborn has been less frequently noted. Sporadic visceral neuropathy

We encountered three cases of chronic functional colonic obstruction caused by intramural ganglion cell death. Morphologic and pharmacological studies were performed using resected specimens. The patients included a 59-year-old man, a 72-year-old woman, and a 28-year-old man. Barium enema studies revealed segmental stenosis in their left colon.
