Generalised sifting in black-box groups
We present a generalisation of the sifting procedure introduced originally by Sims for computation with finite permutation groups, and now used for many computational procedures for groups, such as membership testing and finding group orders.

Polytopes derived from sporadic simple groups
In this article, certain of the sporadic simple groups are analysed, and the polytopes having these groups as automorphism groups are characterised. The sporadic groups considered include all with order less than 4030387201, that is, all up to and including the order of the Held group.

Copper–Collagen Interactions Regulate the Mechanical and Invasive Properties of Tumor Spheroids
Ionic copper is investigated as a modulator of tumor spheroid growth and invasiveness in a 3D microfluidic glioblastoma model. Copper exposure alters metabolic activity, cytoskeletal organization, protrusion dynamics, and EMT‐related phenotypes in a dose‐ and timing‐dependent manner, revealing how copper bioavailability shapes tumor aggressiveness ...

Recent Progress in the Symmetric Generation of Groups
Many groups possess highly symmetric generating sets that are naturally endowed with an underlying combinatorial structure. Such generating sets can prove to be extremely useful both theoretically in providing new existence proofs for groups and ...

Crystal Growth Engineering for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Metal Plating
This research employed the rare‐earth ion dysprosium (Dy) to modulate aqueous zinc (Zn) metal plating. Integrated multiscale experiments and computational modeling unveiled the preferential adsorption of Dy on specific crystal facets, which activated screw dislocation‐driven Zn growth.

Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

On the depth of subgroups of simple groups
The depth of a subgroup H of a finite group G is a positive integer defined with respect to the inclusion of the corresponding complex group algebras $\mathbb {C}H \subseteq \mathbb {C}G$ .

Understanding Operando Water Management in Hydroxide‐Exchange‐Membrane Fuel Cells
Effective water management is vital for high‐performance hydroxide‐exchange‐membrane fuel cells. Using a custom water‐flux station, this study quantifies how membrane thickness, microporous layers, and operating conditions dictate internal water transport.
