Spore Morphology of Anemia Subgenus Anemia
American Fern Journal, 1979have a more conservative rate of change than the vegetative characters. Spore samples were collected either in the field or from selected herbarium specimens. Twenty-three specimens of the nine species were mounted on aluminum stubs with double-adhesive tape and coated with a thin layer (200-400 A) of gold-palladium.

A study of the morphology of the spore genus AncyrosporaRichardson
Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 1969Abstract Fossils assignable to the genus Ancyrospora Richardson have been recovered from Devonian strata of Iowa and Missouri. The Scanning Electron Microscope (S.E.M.) has been used to examine them and has made it possible to interpret details of spore morphology not previously recognized.

Spore morphology in selected Inocybe species
1984The spores of forty-four Inocybe taxa were examined using electron optics. Taxa were selected from nomenclatorial type and and other collections held in the E.C. Smith Herbarium, Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia. A technique was developed in which exsiccata were rehydrated with a descending acetone gradient, fixed in a 2.5% phosphate buffered (

Clostridium sordellii is a human and animal pathogen with a mortality rate approaching 100%. Crucial to the infectious cycle of this microbe is its ability to produce a form of itself that is difficult to eradicate, called a spore. This thesis describes the C. sordellii spore structure and shows that it is composed of multiple layers that contribute to
