Calcineurin‐Dependent Stress Adaptation Enables Caspofungin Heteroresistance Leading to Stable Resistance in Candida Glabrata

Caspofungin heteroresistance is prevalent in clinical Candida glabrata isolates and depends on calcineurin‐mediated stress adaptation. This transient phenotype serves as a reservoir for resistance evolution, enabling the emergence of stable resistant descendants under prolonged drug pressure.

One strategy to slow down this polymorphic transition is the addition of lipids rich in very long chain fatty acids (VLCFA), such as behenic acid.

The scale‐up of spotted rose snapper, Lutjanus guttatus, larval rearing is described. Fertilized eggs (480,000) were obtained from a 1‐d harvest of a natural spawning captive broodstock acclimatized for 1 yr and 6 mo in two fiberglass tanks (18 m3).

Knotless Suture Staple Remplissage for Hill‐Sachs Lesions in the Beach Chair Position

Abstract The addition of remplissage to arthroscopic Bankart repair in the presence of a Hill‐Sachs lesion can help decrease recurrence of anterior shoulder instability. The remplissage procedure often involves passage of suture from anchors in the Hill‐Sachs lesion to the extra‐articular side of the shoulder capsule followed by knot tying.
