Homogenization and Growth Behavior of Second-Phase Particles in a Deformed Zr–Sn–Nb–Fe–Cu–Si–O Alloy
Homogeneous distribution of fine second-phase particles (SPPs) fabricated by cycles of deformation and annealing in zirconium alloys is a critical consideration for the corrosion resistance of fuel claddings.

We propose a novel metal-coupled metal-insulator-metal (MC-MIM) waveguide which can achieve a highly efficient surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) excitation. The MC-MIM waveguide is formed by inserting a thin metal film in the insulator of an MIM.

Diversity of Ehrlichia spp., Anaplasma spp. and Neorickettsia spp. in vampire bats
Although bats (Mammalia: Chiroptera) act as natural reservoirs for many zoonotic pathogens around the world, few studies have investigated the occurrence of Anaplasmataceae agents in bats, especially vampire bats. The family Anaplasmataceae (order Rickettsiales) encompasses obligate intracellular bacteria of the genera Anaplasma, Ehrlichia ...
