Biosafety of spray dried porcine plasma for different viruses of interest for the swine industry
Spray dried plasma (SDP) products have high protein contents and, therefore, are useful components for many applications, mainly as valuable products for animal nutrition. Plasma is obtained from blood of healthy pigs fit for slaughter for human consumption. Blood is pooled from many animals, collected in tanks with anticoagulant and chilled.
