The effect of feeding spray dried porcine plasma (SDPP) to male turkeys during the first 4 weeks of life was evaluated at 20 weeks of age. A total of 648 male Hybrid Converter day-old turkeys were divided into two groups of 9 replicate pens of 36 birds each, and fed a commercial- type program of 7 diet phases.

The purpose of this study was to test whether dietary spray‐dried porcine plasma (SDPP) in early‐weaned piglets prevents small intestinal villus atrophy by trophic or protective activity. Fifty‐four weaned, 18‐day‐old piglets were used to determine the effect of dietary SDPP on small intestinal villus length, crypt depth, enterocyt mitotic activity and

The purpose was to compare the antioxidant activity of spray-dried porcine plasma and frozen-thawed porcine plasma by measuring their ability to inhibit lipid oxidation in vitro. The ability of spray-dried plasma and BHT to inhibit lipid oxydation and color changes in salted ground pork was also investigated.

The effect of inclusion of spray‐dried porcine plasma (SDPP) in diets for weanling piglets was studied. The objectives were to determine whether SDPP would have positive effects on post‐weaning piglet performance and health under typical Northern European conditions.
