Spray cooling of air-cooled compact heat exchangers [PDF]
Abstract This paper investigates the technical feasibility of air-cooled compact heat exchangers with liquid-droplet spray in a fine mist as a more effective heat rejection system between a condensing vapor or hot fluid system and ambient air. Both water and ethylene glycol are sprayed. Three automotive radiator cores with 3·94 fins per cm are tested

Multifunctional solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) films integrating intrinsic self‐healing, mechanical stretchability, and dual photo‐ and pH‐responsive ionic conductivity are developed. Constructed from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and hydrogen‐bonded poly(thiourea triethylene glycol) (PTUEG3), these films form a dynamic supramolecular network ...

A meniscus‐guided microtransfer molding strategy enables scalable fabrication of grid‐type molecular martensite films with b‐axis‐correlated preferential texture. Sequential growth across microchannel intersections creates structurally continuous grids and robust thermoelastic actuation (∼11% strain, > 50 cycles, maximum force density: 7.1 × 109 N m−3).
