Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Sertraline Treatment Can Mimic Niemann‐Pick Type C Biomarker Profile: A Diagnostic Pitfall
ABSTRACT Background Oxysterols (cholestane‐3β,5α,6β‐triol and 7‐ketocholesterol) and N‐palmitoyl‐O‐phosphocholineserine (PPCS) are sensitive biomarkers for Niemann‐Pick disease type C (NPC) screening. However, false‐positive results occur, with a biomarker profile suggestive of NPC despite the absence of pathogenic variants in genes involved in NPC or ...

Sampling, quantification and mathematical modeling in agricultural spray drift: A review
An effective spray of agrochemicals is inevitable for crop production for viable agriculture. Spraying inherently suffers from drift, which has always been one of the major concerns in agriculture, affecting the intent of agrochemical spraying and ...

Determining drift in spray tips evaluated under different wind speeds [PDF]
The application of pesticides is essential in modern agricultural production. The concept of drift refers to the undue displacement of a product, which moves to areas outside the intended target, usually due to air currents.

SPECTRUM, VELOCITY AND DRIFT OF DROPLETS SPRAYED BY NOZZLES WITH AND WITHOUT AIR INDUCTION AND MINERAL OIL [PDF]
The aim of this study was to evaluate the spectrum, the velocity and the potential drift risk of droplets sprayed by nozzles with and without air induction, with the addition of mineral oil to the spray solution.

This study presents a reversible temperature sensor with high switching ratio, ∼103. The device is fabricated using PET‐ITO and carbon nanotube dispersions in alkane. Considering its application in cold chain logistics, a proof‐of‐concept with LED is showcased. Thus, a temperature drop below the threshold temperature (crystallization temperature of the

Study of a test methodology to assess potential drift generated by air-assisted sprayers
During pesticide application spray drift may cause diffuse pollution phenomena in the environment. In the last years the European Union, through the Directive on the sustainable use of pesticides (128/2009 EC), has recommended the adoption of measures ...

Assessment of Spray Drift with Various Adjuvants in a Wind Tunnel
When pesticides are sprayed, a significant portion of the droplets drifts away from the target. Using an adjuvant in spray liquid is an easy option for reducing droplet drift because there is no need to make any changes to the sprayer.
