Modeling of spray characteristics from multi-hole injector for direct-injection gasoline engines
Gasoline sprays from high-pressure multi-hole nozzles for direct injection spark-ignition engines have been simulated using a CFD spray model. Model validation takes place against experimental data available for injection into a constant volume chamber ...

Rationale Surface‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (SALDI) mass spectrometry (MS) builds on the use of nanostructured surfaces (e.g., coatings of colloidal nanoparticles) to promote analyte desorption and ionization. The SALDI process is believed to occur mainly through thermal processes, resulting from heating of the nanosubstrate upon absorption ...

Recyclable Printed Liquid Metal Composite for Underwater Stretchable Electronics
This work presents a multifunctional liquid metal (LM) microdroplet‐based composite with a custom‐designed block copolymer as the matrix, optimized for printing. The composite exhibits high conductivity, stretchability, durability in dry and aqueous environments, and recyclability of LM using green solvents. These properties highlight its potential for

Further developments of a novel self-driven spray nozzle
An experimental study of a further development of a novel atomizing nozzle is presented. The novelty of the nozzle lies in the incorporation of a self-driven, hydraulic turbine, which provides improved atomization performance.

Printing to Fight Antimicrobial Resistance Through Nano/Microstructured Platforms
Additive manufacturing enables the rational design of structured antimicrobial platforms across multiple length scales, from nanofibrous scaffolds and droplet microreactors to 3D and 4D printed constructs. By engineering confinement, interfacial chemistry, and stimuli‐responsive release, these systems exert localized action through complementary ...

We applied three thiamethoxam spray treatments to buckwheat border strips: control (no nearby spray), drift (adjacent peach trees directly sprayed) and direct spray (buckwheat and peaches directly sprayed). Drift‐treated buckwheat received about 1.4% the amount of thiamethoxam as direct‐spray buckwheat. This amount has no lethal effects on parasitoids,
