Nanocrystalline cathodes for PC-SOFCs based on BCZY [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Perovskites based on BaCeO3-δ exhibit the highest proton conductivity among this class of materials, however, they are susceptible to hydration and carbonation in presence of water vapor and CO2 [1].

Thermo‐Fluorescent Bactericidal Quantum Dots Based Smart Multifunctional Textiles via Molecular Surface Engineering and 3D‐Printed Interlocked Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A versatile approach is presented for fabricating smart multifunctional textiles by integrating thermo‐fluorescent carbon dot/polymer nanocomposite coatings with 3D‐printed interlocked architectures. The fabrics exhibit temperature‐responsive fluorescence, durable hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial and antioxidant activity, and enhanced UV protection.

A new precursor route to semiconducting Zinc Oxide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We demonstrate a new precursor route towards solution- processed films of the II-VI semiconductor Zinc oxide (ZnO). Spray pyrolysis of aqueous solutions of the Zinc salt Zinc chloride (ZnCl2) onto a substrate heated to at least 250 oC gives films ...

Electrically Assisted Thermal Stamping of Tunable Carbon‐Based Nanofilms for Direct Fabrication of Hydrophobic, Energy Harvesting, and Sensing Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the electrically assisted thermal stamping (EATS) method for direct fabrication of carbon‐based nanofilms and their multifunctional applications. Localized Joule heating triggers simultaneous exfoliation, reduction, and fluoropolymer incorporation under ambient conditions, yielding tunable carbon‐based thin‐film coatings ...
