EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Liver Disease in Vineyard Sprayers
Liver disease with inclusions of copper was recognized among 30 rural workers with "vineyard sprayer's lung." The pathological findings were varied: focal or diffuse swelling and proliferation of Kupffer cells; histiocytic and sarcoid-like granulomata; fibrosis of variable degree in the perisinusoidal, portal, and subcapsular areas, accompanied by ...

Experiences with entomopathogenic nematodes for the control of overwintering codling moth larvae in Germany [PDF]
Entomopathogenic nematodes were tested for their potential as tool in resistance management of codling moth Cydia pomonella L. in organic fruit growing. In two field tests, the adults emerging from stems treated with nematodes were monitored.

A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.

In the agriculture segment, splashing pesticides is a significant undertaking to shield the harvests from creepy crawlies for getting a high return. However, farmers have been mainly using traditional conventional techniques like hand operated and fuel operated sprayer system for spraying pesticides. Fuel is expensive and in some places fuel may not be
