Effects of spray height and spray angle on spray deposition in tobacco plants

2011 6th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications, 2011
Due to the decreasing availability of authorized plant protection products, adequate pest control becomes more difficult in tobacco. Although much attention is given to predator-pest interactions in integrated control, almost no research is available about the optimization of spray application techniques in tobacco plants.

Spray rendering

IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 1994
Spray rendering provides a framework for creating and experimenting with different visualization techniques. The name spray rendering is derived from the metaphor of using a virtual spray can to paint data sets. Varying the type of paint in the can highlights data in different ways. Spray rendering is not limited to the paint metaphor, however.

Spray Angle and Atomization in Diesel Sprays

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1984
<div class="htmlview paragraph">In this investigation, cone angles of high pressure diesel sprays emerging through plain orifices were studied. The study was conducted at constant fuel pressures by using injection system in a single pulse mode.

Spray man and pesticide spraying – A unnoticed story

Archives of Environmental & Occupational Health
Pesticide application has become an indispensable process in crop production, but the inappropriate use of synthetic pesticides has led to significant risks for both human health and the environment. When we tried to map the diffusion network of pesticide-related information, we found that spray man is playing a crucial role.

Spray mechanism in paper spray ionization

International Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2012
Abstract Images and droplet size measurements show that paper spray operates in two distinct spray modes. Mode 1 occurs in solvent-rich systems in which multiple Taylor conejets are created producing droplets of a range of sizes. Mode 2 occurs at low solvent flow rates and the higher currents (∼1 uA) suggest a contribution from corona discharge.

Spray Size Evolution of Diesel Sprays

Volume 2: Fora, 2006
Variations of fuel spray characteristics during cyclic operation is directly correlated to efficient operation of an engine. Measurements of drop size distribution and drop concentration under transient conditions during injection are difficult. A very rapid and synchronized measurement technique is necessary for sectional and temporal analysis of an ...
