Theory of Spread-Spectrum Communications - A Tutorial [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 1982
Spread-spectrum communications, with its inherent interference attenuation capability, has over the years become an increasingly popular technique for use in many different systems. Applications range from antijam systems, to code division multiple access systems, to systems designed to combat multipath.

Deep Learning-Based Cyclic Shift Keying Spread Spectrum Underwater Acoustic Communication

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2021
A deep learning-based cyclic shift keying spread spectrum (CSK-SS) underwater acoustic (UWA) communication system is proposed for improving the performance of the conventional system in low signal-to-noise ratio and multipath effects.

Novel method of spread spectrum communication

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2013
As the bandwidth efficiency of traditional spread spectrum modulation is quite low,a novel spread spectrum communication method, which uses the relative position of the spread spectrum modulation symbol to carry information was presented, and the method ...

Bridging the Gap in Neuroblastoma Care: Consensus‐Based Statements With Recommendations for Improved Patient and Caregiver Experiences

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neuroblastoma's complex, heterogeneous biology poses significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, often requiring caregivers to absorb complex information and participate in time‐sensitive decisions. However, caregivers often feel unprepared to evaluate options.

Development and Implementation of a Disease‐Targeted Storybook as a Clinical Tool for Children With Acute Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Although significant progress has been made in childhood leukemia survival, healthcare providers, and caregivers often face challenges in explaining this disease to patients. Disease‐targeted storybooks have been proposed as a tool to facilitate the understanding of diagnoses and treatment.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Space–time receiver for spread spectrum communication systems with beam tracking

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation, 2022
A method based on beam tracking in an underwater acoustic (UWA) time‐varying channel was proposed to improve the performance of UWA spread spectrum communication systems using arrays. In the ocean, the acoustic signal reaches the receiver through various
