Recent Patents In Spread Spectrum Systems
Recent Patents on Electrical & Electronic Engineering, 2013During the last decade, spread spectrum techniques have become more and more popular in the field of mobile communication systems. In particular, satellite systems (GPS and Galileo) as well as the third generation radio mobile system have adopted the direct sequence spread spectrum as the communication technology of the physical layer.

Spread Spectrum Communication Systems
1980Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the spread spectrum communication systems. A classical method of information transmission applicable for analog signals that employs such a bandspreading technique, and thereby offers interference suppression is frequency modulation (FM).

A Spread-Spectrum Analysis and Design Laboratory System
MILCOM 1982 - IEEE Military Communications Conference - Progress in Spread Spectrum Communications, 1982Spread-Spectrum waveforms are used commonly for Anti-Jam (A/J) and Low-Probability-of-Intercept (LPI) applications, but their effectiveness is difficult to assess owing to the diversity of system parameters and to various user requirements. This paper describes a spread-spectrum analysis and design laboratory system consisting of a software analysis ...

Spectrum efficiency of spread spectrum systems
IEEE 1988 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2003The capabilities of direct-sequence pseudo-noise (DSPN) systems are compared with those of both conventional and trunked LMR systems. It is shown that not only do DSPN systems provide the same advantages over conventional systems as trunking systems, but also they provide many additional features as well without loss of spectrum conservation. >

The spread spectrum code hopping system
Proceedings of IEEE 3rd International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications (ISSSTA'94), 2002Consumer communications employing spread spectrum techniques have been developed. The spread spectrum code hopping (CH) system, which has some analogy to frequency hopping systems, is described. The performance of the CH systems under single code interference, which will frequently arise in the future on consumer communications and seriously affects ...

Signal detection in spread spectrum systems
Proceedings IEEE Southeastcon '98 'Engineering for a New Era', 2002A direct sequence binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) spread spectrum is presented. The received signal is modeled as a pseudorandom binary sequence (PN) multiplied by the data signal in additive Gaussian noise. The design procedure for the optimum receiver is based upon the Neyman-Pearson detector.
