High damage potential of seed-borne spot blotch in organically grown spring barley in Denmark [PDF]
Spot blotch of barley (Bipolaris sorokiniana, perfect state: Cochliobolus sativus) occurs wherever barley is grown but is normally not considered a major problem in Danish barley production.

Stability of variety mixtures of spring barley
Six 3-component variety mixtures of spring barley and their component varieties have been grown in 17 different environments (3 years, 3 locations, 3 different growing systems). For three of the six mixtures, the grain yield was significantly higher than the average yield of its components; in none of the mixtures it was significantly lower.

A new variety of spring barley ‘Gris’
The increase of grain production is a key purpose of agricultural development in Russia. Spring barley largely determines the amount of gross grain yields in the regions of RF, including North Caucasus. Being principal forage crop, its grain is raw material for brewery, food and other types of production. Its specific weight in the production of forage

Tolerance to weed harrowing in spring barley genotypes [PDF]
Controlling weeds in spring cereals grown under organic conditions is mostly done by post emergence weed harrowing, where spring tines of the weed harrow control weeds by uprooting and/or covering small weeds plants with soil.

The potential of seedbank digital information in plant conservation
Seedbanks are vital for biodiversity conservation, but their potential remains underutilised due to a limited understanding of the intraspecific genetic diversity they hold. By leveraging digitised data associated with seedbank collections, such as sampling locations, number of maternal plants and seed traits, we can attempt the estimation of genetic ...
