First direct observation of a nearly ideal graphene band structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Angle-resolved photoemission and X-ray diffraction experiments show that multilayer epitaxial graphene grown on the SiC(000-1) surface is a new form of carbon that is composed of effectively isolated graphene sheets.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Formulation and organoleptic test of edamame-mackarel tuna sprinkle powder as a high protein supplementation for stunting

open access: yesAcTion: Aceh Nutrition Journal
Stunting can also reduce the quality of human resources. Developing regional foods with high protein content, such as edamame and mackerel tuna, can help reduce the prevalence of stunting.

Electron-electron interactions in decoupled graphene layers

open access: yes, 2010
Multi-layer graphene on the carbon face of silicon carbide is an intriguing electronic system which typically consists of a stack of ten or more layers. Rotational stacking faults in this system dramatically reduce inter-layer coherence.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Indo-european 'laryngeals' and Hittite hinik-, heu-: some critical observations

open access: yesLinguistica, 1993
Referring to 'lex Eichner' 1 certain scholars2 teach that the he- of Hittite heu 'rain' (heu-/he-aw-)3 goes back ultimately to the lengthened e-grade (*H-ēy-) of a root *H2ey-, the zero-grade of which is attested by the Hittite nasal infix verb stem ...

The Peacemakers: Navigating the Intersection of Biblical Justice and Contemporary Policing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
For Christians seeking to enter the field of policing, the question of justice is answered by two separate sources. Conceptions of justice are presented by both the contemporary justice system and the Bible.
