Sprint

Proceedings of the 2011 ACM international conference on Object oriented programming systems languages and applications, 2011
Remote data access latency is a significant performance bottleneck in many modern programs that use remote databases and web services. We present Sprint - a run-time system for optimizing such programs by prefetching and caching data from remote sources in parallel to the execution of the original program.

Sprint

ACM SIGOPS Operating Systems Review, 2007
Sprint is a middleware infrastructure for high performance and high availability data management. It extends the functionality of a standalone in-memory database (IMDB) server to a cluster of commodity shared-nothing servers. Applications accessing an IMDB are typically limited by the memory capacity of the machine running the IMDB.

Using Sprint Velocity Decrement to Enhance Acute Sprint Performance

Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research, 2021
Abstract Cochrane, DJ and Monaghan, D. Using sprint velocity decrement to enhance acute sprint performance. J Strength Cond Res 35(2): 442–448, 2021—Acute sled towing has the capability to elicit a potentiation. Currently, sled loading is determined from body mass (BM) percent.

SPRINT

Proceedings of the April 18-20, 1967, spring joint computer conference on - AFIPS '67 (Spring), 1967
Most current list processing languages such as LISP and IPL-V operate in an indirect manner, i.e., during execution of a program written in these languages, the basic operations do not deal directly with data but rather with addresses which point to the data, making it awkward to perform operations at the input syntax level.

SPRinT

Proceedings of the 12th ACM SIGGRAPH International Conference on Virtual-Reality Continuum and Its Applications in Industry, 2013
In this paper, we propose an smart phone based interface to control a robot based tele-presence system, called the SPRinT(Smart Phone and Robot for Tele-operation and Tele-presence).It is designed around its mobility and relies on spatial/gestural interaction to achieve the efficiency and tele-presence.

Sprint

Proceedings of the 2003 conference on Designing for user experiences, 2003
Digital product development teams have trouble coordinating specification assets, both in the effort to represent a stable design in multiple specification forms, and particularly when a changing context causes requirement changes. The Agile process movement avoids cumbersome specifications by prescribing faster release cycles, more parallel ...

Sprinting and Intoeing

Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1996
The relationship between sprinting ability and intoeing was explored in a single blinded controlled study performed on 100 high school students. Rotational profiles and sprinting foot-progression angles were compared in 50 high school sprinters and 50 high school controls.

Resisted Sprints Do Not Acutely Enhance Sprinting Performance

Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2014
Sprinting speed is a vital component of successful performance in many sports. Long-term resisted sprint training has been shown to improve early acceleration performance, but the acute post-activation potentiation (PAP) effects of resisted sprinting on subsequent performance remain unclear.

NoC-Sprinting

Proceedings of the 51st Annual Design Automation Conference, 2014
The rise of utilization wall limits the number of transistors that can be powered on in a single chip and results in a large region of dark silicon. While such phenomenon has led to disruptive innovation in computation, little work has been done for the Network-on-Chip (NoC) design.
