Moisture Harvesting by the Structure Regulation of Hygroscopic Hydrogel for Energy and Water Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Hygroscopic hydrogels are capable of utilizing the moisture from air, which can transfer the gaseous water to liquid by a surface phase transition. Taking advantage of this water, sustainable water production, thermal management, and electricity generation can be realized.

Electronic Nanomaterials for Plants: A Review on Current Advances and Future Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Global food security faces mounting challenges from climate change and rapid population growth. This review highlights the pivotal role of electronic nanomaterials–including metals, metal oxides, and carbon‐based structures–in enhancing plant photosynthesis, nutrient uptake, and stress resilience. Furthermore, it explores how emerging platforms such as

US employment exposure to domestic and foreign tariff changes under NAFTA

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
Abstract Literature examining the effects of changes in trade agreements and import competition on US employment and wages has focused primarily on non‐agricultural industries and changes in US import tariffs. We propose a method for measuring worker exposure to changes in agricultural tariffs using a newly developed county‐level dataset of employment ...

Benefit from Biomass Boiler Emissions to Increase Greenhouse CO2 Levels for Optimal Growth and Yield in Tomato, Cucumber, and Strawberry

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Using CO2‐rich polluting gases in greenhouse plant cultivation has proven to be a promising technique for stimulating plants while reducing emissions to the atmosphere. The use of an experimental biofilter proves to be effective in retaining most of the toxic particles. The alteration of physiological and metabolic parameters shows an adaptation of the
