Abstract Total ozone (O3) reactivity monitors (TORMs) were used to investigate biogenic volatile organic compound (BVOC) emissions from several ecosystems. Measurements were conducted in temperate deciduous North American forests, during the CABINEX and SOAS campaigns, on tundra vegetation emissions at Toolik lake field station (TFS) in Alaska, and in ...

Impact of Nitrogen Deposition on Carbon and Nitrogen Cycling in Peatlands Under Land‐Use Change
ABSTRACT Increasing nitrogen (N) deposition significantly alters carbon and N dynamics in peatlands by affecting microbial processes, enhancing greenhouse gas emissions and nutrient leaching into adjacent waters. However, how peatland conversion for agriculture and forestry influences the fate of added N under elevated atmospheric deposition remains ...

Comparative foraging ecology of lynx and coyotes in three Gulf of Alaska national parks
Abstract Consumers exhibit varying degrees of dietary specialization, with foraging strategies shaped by both evolutionary history and local food availability. In boreal systems, Canada lynx are considered snowshoe hare specialists, whereas coyotes are classically generalist foragers capable of exploiting diverse resources.

Multifunctional bioactivity of Curcuma zedoaria essential oil. ABSTRACT Plant‐derived essential oils are increasingly investigated as sustainable alternatives for food preservation and crop protection; however, their multifunctional applicability under postharvest conditions remains insufficiently explored.

The Deadman River watershed (British Columbia, Canada) was severely impacted by the Sparks Lake Fire in 2021. Timelapse photogrammetry reveals sharp post‐fire channel widening and increase in migration rate. Through multispectral remote‐sensing analysis, these morphodynamic changes are related to burn severity affecting the watershed.
