Double-crystal setup measurements at the CERN SPS
In this paper, we discuss an experimental layout for the two-crystals scenario at the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) accelerator. The research focuses on a fixed target setup at the circulating machine in a frame of the Physics Beyond Colliders (PBC) project at CERN. The UA9 experiment at the SPS serves as a testbench for the proof of concept, which is

Pesticide MRLs as Trade Barriers: Evidence From Vietnam's Coffee and Rice Exporters
ABSTRACT As tariffs have declined globally through bilateral and regional trade agreements, food safety standards have emerged as significant determinants of agricultural trade flows. This study examines the impact of maximum residue limits (MRLs) for five pesticides—Azoxystrobin, Chlorpyrifos, Chlorantraniliprole, Clothianidin, and Cyhalothrin—on ...

Abstract Our general interest is in global trade loss from livestock pathogens, specifically exports. We adopt a causal inference approach that considers animal disease outbreaks over time as non‐staggered binary treatments with the potential for switching in (infection) and out of treatment (recovery) within the sample period. The outcome evolution of

Scalp electroacupuncture (SA) through activation of the trigeminal pathway exerts anti‐inflammatory, antidepressant, and anxiolytic effects in an animal model of post‐traumatic stress disorder induced by single prolonged stress. This suggests that SA is involved in neuroinflammation and changes in brain‐derived neurotrophic factor protein through the ...

ESG Performance, Debt Financing, and R&D Output: Evidence From the Healthcare Sector
ABSTRACT Amid growing calls for sustainability in the healthcare sector, this study examines how and under what conditions environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance influences research and development (R&D) output. Although existing studies suggest that ESG performance enhances R&D output, the financial mechanisms that enable or constrain

Pb/Ge/Br codoping in n‐type polycrystalline SnSe induces band convergence and high‐density dislocations, yielding a high power factor of 7.47 μW cm−1 K−2 and ultralow lattice thermal conductivity. Consequently, a peak ZT of 1.6 is achieved, overcoming the traditional performance limitations of n‐type SnSe.
