New Method of Tooth Pitch Deviation Measurement based on Laser Tracker for Mega Spur Gear

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2019
To measure pitch deviation of mega spur gears, a new method for measuring the pitch of mega spur gears based on laser tracker is proposed. The measuring ability of laser tracker in large space is used to measure gear groove, and two adjacent pitch error ...

Joint Amplitude and Frequency Demodulation Analysis Based on Variational Mode Decomposition for Multifault Diagnosis of a Multistage Reducer

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2018
Multistage reducer vibration signals have complicated spectral structures owing to the amplitude and frequency modulations of gear damage-induced vibrations and the multiplicative amplitude modulation effect caused by time-varying vibration transfer ...

Talent Management in SMEs: Unraveling the Role of Contextual Factors

open access: yesHuman Resource Development Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Employing a multiple case study analysis, this paper explores the contextual factors—internal, external, and relational—that affect small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in designing their approaches to talent management (TM). Results underscore the significance of two prominent internal variables—namely, organizational size and ownership ...

Wear mechanisms in polyoxymethylene spur gears

open access: yesWear, 2019
Abstract The interaction of a polymer-steel spur gear pair is naturally prone to cause wear of the softer polymer material. Experimental equipment was therefore designed and constructed to run a polymer-steel spur gear pair with sufficiently accurate instrumentation such that the load and speed could be measured under a range of operating conditions.

Molecular Spur Gears Comprising Triptycene Rotators and Bibenzimidazole-Based Stators

open access: yes, 2012
Dynamic gearing of molecular spur gears, the most common type of mechanical gear, is elucidated. Molecular design and conformational analysis show that derivatives of 4,4-bis(triptycen-9-ylethynyl)bibenzimidazole represent suitable constructs to ...

Influence on micro-geometry and surface characteristics of laser powder bed fusion built 17-4 PH miniature spur gears in laser shock peening

open access: yesAdvances in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
Micro-geometrical errors, surface roughness, and surface integrity (microstructure, residual stresses, microhardness) play an important role in defining the quality of the gears as they directly affect their noise, vibration characteristics and service ...

Simulation of Rotational Vibration of Spur Gears

open access: yesBulletin of JSME, 1983
This paper introduces a developed simulator on a rotational vibration and a strain at a root of a tooth, on a power transmission spur gear. The simulator solves a differential equation with one degree of freedom in consideration of the behaviour of the stiffness around tooth tip meshing.
