Integrating Spatial Proteogenomics in Cancer Research

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Xx xx. ABSTRACT Background: Spatial proteogenomics marks a paradigm shift in oncology by integrating molecular analysis with spatial information from both spatial proteomics and other data modalities (e.g., spatial transcriptomics), thereby unveiling tumor heterogeneity and dynamic changes in the microenvironment.

Spurious Aeroacoustic Emissions in Lattice Boltzmann Simulations on Non-Uniform Grids

open access: yesFluids
Although there do exist a few aeroacoustic studies on harmful artificial phenomena related to the usage of non-uniform Cartesian grids in lattice Boltzmann methods (LBM), a thorough quantitative comparison between different categories of grid arrangement

Enzymatic DNA Reaction Networks for Orchestrating Stimuli‐Dependent Temporal Molecular Pulse

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present an enzymatic DNA reaction network (EDRN) that encodes nucleic‐acid targets in time, converting inputs into a universal strand and then into programmable transient fluorescence pulses. With time‐color multiplexing, EDRN enables single‐tube high‐plex nucleic acid detection and shows strong agreement with clinical sequencing across 32 specimens.

Persistently Increased Expression of PKMzeta and Unbiased Gene Expression Profiles Identify Hippocampal Molecular Traces of a Long‐Term Active Place Avoidance Memory and “Shadow” Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein complexes like KIBRA‐PKMζ are crucial for maintaining memories, forming month‐long protein traces in memory‐tagged neurons, but conventional RNA‐seq analysis fails to detect their transcript changes, leaving memory molecules undetected in the shadows of abundantly‐expressed genes.

Structural properties of artificial halos in non-standard dark matter simulations

open access: yes, 2015
Artificial fragmentation of the matter density field causes the formation of spurious groups of particles in N-body simulations of non-standard Dark Matter (DM) models which are characterized by a small scale cut-off in the linear matter power spectrum ...

Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer immunotherapy faces challenges in predicting treatment responses and understanding resistance mechanisms. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) offer powerful solutions for cancer immunotherapy in patient stratification, biomarker discovery, treatment strategy optimization, and foundation model development.

Multimodal Wearable Biosensing Meets Multidomain AI: A Pathway to Decentralized Healthcare

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multimodal biosensing meets multidomain AI. Wearable biosensors capture complementary biochemical and physiological signals, while cross‐device, population‐aware learning aligns noisy, heterogeneous streams. This Review distills key sensing modalities, fusion and calibration strategies, and privacy‐preserving deployment pathways that transform ...

Stabilized Solution to Spurious Mode Problem and Ill-Conditioning in Interface Force Based Substructure Coupling Method

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2018
There are two major types of substructure mode synthesis methods, i.e., the fixed-interface component mode synthesis and free-interface component mode synthesis.

From noisy observables to accurate ground-state energies: A quantum–classical signal subspace approach with denoising [PDF]

open access: yesAPL Quantum
We propose a hybrid quantum–classical algorithm for ground state energy estimation that remains robust to highly noisy data and exhibits low sensitivity to hyperparameter tuning.

Removal of Spurious Admixture in a Self-consistent Theory of Adiabatic Large Amplitude Collective Motion

open access: yes, 2005
In this article we analyse, for a simple model, the properties of a practical implementation of a fully self-consistent theory of adiabatic large-amplitude collective motion using the local harmonic approach.
