A Harmonic Reduction Scheme in SPWM

APCCAS 2006 - 2006 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2006
In this paper, a harmonic cancellation and sideband reduction method has been proposed with a view to improving efficiency in PWM signal processing. Mat Lab simulation has been used to optimize the sideband cancellation. Such cancellation of signals at unwanted frequencies has a substantial improvement in ac conversion efficiency.

The designated harmonic suppression for SPWM

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
SPWM is a critical method used in asynchronous motor-driven area. But harmonic components of inverter output wave impair its application in motor speed control. A new mixed algorithm was proposed for SPWM, which was a designated harmonic suppression technology by way of improved regular sampling in low voltage and low frequency and harmonic ...

Design and Implementation of SPWM Inverter

2019 International Conference on Computing, Communication, and Intelligent Systems (ICCCIS), 2019
This paper represents the fabrication and implementation of 50Hz SPWM inverter to convert the direct current to alternating current. Such as what can be continuous from a standard wall outlet. There are generally three types of the inverter in general purpose: modified sine wave, pure sine wave, and square wave. Considering the power output capability,

Generic SPWM technique for multilevel inverter

2013 IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference (APPEEC), 2013
Multilevel inverters generate stepped AC signals and thus overcome many of the limitations with the classical inverter circuit. Multilevel inverters use many number of switches and generate staircase type output through controlled switching of various switches. The sequence of switching and the duration of each step are very vital in minimizing the THD.

Analytical and comparative study of FHI-SPWM and SPWM control technique of Five-phase VSI

2016 IEEE 1st International Conference on Power Electronics, Intelligent Control and Energy Systems (ICPEICES), 2016
The modulating index (m) can be increased towards unity to increase the amplitude of fundamental voltage on the AC side of Five-phase Voltage Source Inverter having PWM control technique, without reaching over modulating area. For the star connected load, if the modulating index is considered as unity and inverter input DC voltage as V dc , then the ...

Digital SPWM inverter design and implementation

2011 International Conference on Electric Information and Control Engineering, 2011
in this paper, frequency domain analysis of the 25Hz inverter with a dual loop of voltage and current is discussed and propose a dead time compensation method of resistive loads, as well as the simulation and experimental waveforms. The results validate the design parameters and the dead time compensation method.

A method of reducing harmonic contents for SPWM

Proceedings of the IEEE 1999 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. PEDS'99 (Cat. No.99TH8475), 1999
Fully digital AC drives are becoming an industrial standard. While the traditional PWM AC motor drivers use sinusoidal reference waveforms with different optimum modulation strategies, at the present time for high performances drives, the space vector pulse modulation is used.

A Novel Multilevel Strategy in SPWM Design

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2007
In this paper, a novel multilevel strategy based on a signal slicing technique, and that employs phase-shifted carrier is presented for the design of SPWM inverters. The method relies on slicing the reference signal into various segments, carrier-modulates each segment independently, and multiplexes the carrier modulated slices in amplitudes.

SPWM based on programmable counter array

2011 Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC), 2011
For the complexity of sinusoidal pulse width modulation, which have problems of slow response, trivial program and expensive realization device, programmable counter array is used in this paper to realize the SPWM with low cost in order to be used in the design of variable velocity variable frequency (VVVF).

The Simulation of SPWM in Voltage Source STATCOM

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
The inverter part is an important link of the voltage source STATCOM, and a key problem of inverter is how to generate PWM switch signals according to given parameter. The part of SPWM inverter in STATCOM was simulated in Matlab. The result shows that the inverter bridge was controlled by the three-phase pulse width modulation wave produced by the SPWM
