Les Squalidae (Euselachii) miocènes des environs d'Avignon (Vaucluse)

Les gisements étudiés sont principalement ceux de Caumont et de Bonpas (Vaucluse ). Ils s'étagent du Burdigalien à l'Helvétien inférieur. Le matériel fossile est constitué par des dents et quelquefois des denticules cutanés. Leur étude systématique montre que la plupart des espèces peuvent être rattachées à des espèces actuelles ou en sont les ancêtres.

The reproduction of the greeneye spurdog Squalus chloroculus was studied based on animals caught in the multispecies and multi‐gear southern and eastern scalefish and shark fishery on the upper continental slope off southern Australia. One hundred and ninety‐nine females (502–990 mm, total length, LT) and 189 males (515–810 mm LT) were examined.

Review of the Centrophorus sharks (Elasmodranchii, Squalidae) of the Eastern Atlantic

Results on systematics of the genus Centrophorus from the eastern Atlantic are yielded from an extensive study on body and skull morphometrics, dermal denticles, vertebral counting and fin rays. Our conclusions pointed out the validity of the following species inhabiting the area: C. squamosus, C. granulosus, C. lusitanicus and C. niaukang.

The reproductive activity was analyzed qualitatively (through histological analysis), defining five gonad development stages (undifferentiated, developing, ripe, spawning and spent).
