Hospital Medicine, 1999
An 85-year-old man was initially admitted with left-sided pleuritic chest pain and associated rib cage tenderness. Mild ankle oedema was the only other clinical finding. A chest X-ray at this time showed what appeared to be a simple and isolated rib fracture. The lungs were otherwise clear (Figure 1).

Squamous cell carcinoma and meningomyelocele
Neurosurgery, 1984Abstract A case of invasive squamous cell carcinoma arising in the skin overlying a large lumbar meningomyelocele is reported. This case is unique in that a chronic neurocutaneous fistula was not present. It is proposed that chronic irritation of the meningomyelocele was the primary factor in the pathogenesis of the cancer.

Squamous cell carcinoma radioimmunoassay in squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck
The American Journal of Surgery, 1989Tumor-associated antigen has shown promise as a clinical aid in the detection and monitoring of uterine cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Squamous cell carcinoma of the breast
Breast Cancer, 2009Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the breast is comparatively rare. Because of the small number of investigations based on sufficient population size, its clinicopathological features have not been fully elucidated. We report herein a patient with SCC of the breast who underwent surgical resection and whose therapeutic options are now considered.

Squamous-Cell Carcinoma of the Tonsil
Archives of Surgery, 1959There are few statements in current medical literature that are more obviously repetitious than "surgery has nothing to offer in carcinoma of the tonsil." This is based on two premises. The first is that operative mortality is high, and the second, that the involved cervical lymph nodes are not accessible to adequate excision.
