The fractal dimensions and the percolation exponents of the geometrical spin clusters of like sign at criticality, are obtained numerically for an Ising model with temperature-dependent annealed bond dilution, also known as the thermalized bond Ising ...

Crossover scaling in the two-dimensional three-state Potts model
We apply simulated tempering and magnetizing (STM) Monte Carlo simulations to the two-dimensional three-state Potts model in an external magnetic field in order to investigate the crossover scaling behaviour in the temperature-field plane at the Potts ...

Spectral Tuning of Hyperbolic Shear Polaritons in Monoclinic Gallium Oxide via Isotopic Substitution
Spectral tuning of highly directional hyperbolic shear polaritons is realized via isotopic substitution of 16O to 18O in monoclinic β$\beta$‐phase gallium oxide. A red‐shift of almost 40 cm−1 is experimentally demonstrated with near‐field imaging, corroborated by the permittivity change extracted from far‐field experiments and density functional theory.

Dynamics and hysteresis in square lattice artificial spin ice
Dynamical effects under geometrical frustration are considered in a model for artificial spin ice on a square lattice in two dimensions. Each island of the spin ice has a three-component Heisenberg-like dipole moment subject to shape anisotropies that ...

Peptide‐Induced Ferroelectricity in Charge‐Transfer Supramolecular Materials
Bio‐inspired supramolecular charge‐transfer amphiphiles self‐assemble into nanoribbons in water, where peptide chirality‐induced symmetry breaking generates robust ferroelectricity across multiple systems. These water‐processable organic ferroelectrics also enhance neuronal outgrowth and electrophysiological maturity, offering a versatile strategy for ...

A critical Ising model on the Labyrinth
A zero-field Ising model with ferromagnetic coupling constants on the so-called Labyrinth tiling is investigated. Alternatively, this can be regarded as an Ising model on a square lattice with a quasi-periodic distribution of up to eight different ...

We present a detailed study of the ground-state phase diagram of the classical frustrated Heisenberg model on the face-centered-cubic lattice. By considering exchange interactions to third nearest neighbors, we find commensurate, helimagnetic, as well as

We show a giant, bias‐field free, deterministic, spin‐orbit‐torque switching of perpendicular hard magnets with HC over 1.3 T. By combining the three‐fold 3m symmetry from topological insulator surface states with the rectangular mm2 symmetry from the 2 x 1 intercalation in Cr3Te4, the interface symmetry is significantly reduced into a unidirectional m

Bound states in two-dimensional spin systems near the Ising limit: A quantum finite-lattice study
We analyze the properties of low-energy bound states in the transverse-field Ising model and in the XXZ model on the square lattice. To this end, we develop an optimized implementation of perturbative continuous unitary transformations.

Magnetic order through Kondo coupling to quantum spin liquids
We study the emergence of magnetic order in localized spins that interact solely through their coupling to a Kitaev-type spin liquid. Using three toy models – the Kitaev model, the Yao–Lee model, and a square-lattice generalization of the Kitaev model ...
