ISING MODEL IN CORRELATED RANDOM FIELDS ON THE SQUARE LATTICE
We investigate the Ising model on the square lattice with correlated random fields which take the values ±h0 and 0. The random fields are assumed to vary from row to row but not from column to column. In the limit [MATH] ? 0, the system shows the phase transition, where [MATH] is the uniform external field with [MATH] ? h0.

Superionic Amorphous Li2ZrCl6 and Li2HfCl6
Amorphous Li2HfCl6 and L2ZrCl6 are shown to be promising solid‐state electrolytes with predicted ionic conductivities >20 mS·cm−1. Molecular dynamics simulations with machine‐learning force fields reveal that anion vibrations and flexible MCl6 octahedra soften the Li coordination cage and enhance mobility. Correlation between Li‐ion diffusivity and the

Mean Field Solution of the Random Ising Model on the Dual Lattice
We perform a duality transformation that allows one to express the partition function of the d-dimensional Ising model with random nearest neighbor coupling in terms of new spin variables defined on the square plaquettes of the lattice. The dual model is

Quantum‐confined lepidocrocite titanate nanofilaments are doped, bottom‐up, with Mn+2, Fe+2, Co+2, Ni+2, and Cu+2 to tune electronic structure and catalysis. Doping narrows the bandgap—by up to ∼0.8 eV—and extends visible absorption. Ni‐doped filaments accelerate oxygen evolution (319 mV at 10 mA cm−2) and TM‐doped samples rapidly degrade rhodamine 6G (

Azbel-Hofstadter model on triangular lattice revisited
In the present paper, the mean of Lyapunov exponents for the Azbel-Hofstadter model on the triangular lattice is calculated. It is recently proposed that [Phys. Rev. Lett.

Photonics of Topological Magnetic Textures
Localized noncollinear magetic textures imprint their geometry and topology onto traversing photonic fields endowing them with orbital angular‐momentum, chirality, and magnetoelectric densities. Abstract Topological textures in magnetically ordered materials are an important case studies for fundamental research with promising applications in data ...

Renormalization group maps for Ising models in lattice gas variables
Real space renormalization group maps, e.g., the majority rule transformation, map Ising type models to Ising type models on a coarser lattice. We show that each coefficient of the renormalized Hamiltonian in the lattice gas variables depends on only a ...

Finite-size scaling in the transverse Ising model on a square lattice [PDF]
Energy eigenvalues and order parameters are calculated by exact diagonalization for the transverse Ising model on square lattices of up to 6x6 sites. Finite-size scaling is used to estimate the critical parameters of the model, confirming universality with the three-dimensional classical Ising model.
