Frustrations on Decorated Square Lattice in Ising Model
In this paper, we performed the comprehensive studies of frustration properties in the Ising model on a decorated square lattice in the framework of an exact analytical approach based on the Kramers--Wannier transfer matrix method. The assigned challenge consisted in finding rigorous formulas for residual entropies of all possible frustrations without ...

Renormalization group maps for Ising models in lattice gas variables
Real space renormalization group maps, e.g., the majority rule transformation, map Ising type models to Ising type models on a coarser lattice. We show that each coefficient of the renormalized Hamiltonian in the lattice gas variables depends on only a ...

Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a highly attractive method combining unique specificity with great sensitivity. For protecting the silver‐based SERS substrates, aromatic self‐assembled monolayers consisting of biphenyl‐4‐thiol and 4′‐nitro‐4‐biphenylthiol molecules are deposited and characterized.

Variational approach to the scaling function of the 2D Ising model in a magnetic field
The universal scaling function of the square lattice Ising model in a magnetic field is obtained numerically via Baxter's variational corner transfer matrix approach.

In KRAS‐mutant tumors, KRAS transcriptionally upregulates COA4 via the PI3K/AKT/E2F1 axis, promoting metastasis. Mechanistically, COA4 enhances tumor cell migration through dual pathways: within mitochondria, it boosts oxidative phosphorylation; in the cytoplasm, it binds and activates CDC42 to stimulate pseudopodia formation.

The bulk, surface and corner free energies of the square lattice Ising model [PDF]
We use Kaufman's spinor method to calculate the bulk, surface and corner free energies $f_b, f_s, f_s', f_c$ of the anisotropic square lattice zero-field Ising model for the ordered ferromagnetic case. For $f_b, f_s, f'_s$ our results of course agree with the early work of Onsager, McCoy and Wu.

A Generative Framework for Predicting Antiferromagnets
This work establishes a design paradigm for antiferromagnets (AFM), accelerating next‐generation spintronic material discovery. By integrating a crystal diffusion variational autoencoder with data augmentation, crystal graph convolutional neural networks, and a genetic algorithm, latent vectors are updated toward AFM property spaces, expanding ...

Anisotropic scaling of the two-dimensional Ising model I: the torus
We present detailed calculations for the partition function and the free energy of the finite two-dimensional square lattice Ising model with periodic and antiperiodic boundary conditions, variable aspect ratio, and anisotropic couplings, as well as ...

High Mobility and Electrostatics in GeSn Quantum Wells With SiGeSn Barriers
This study investigates electrical transport in GeSn quantum wells with SiGeSn barriers and characterizes hole mobilities as a function of hole density. The observed mobilities are higher than previously reported for GeSn quantum wells with similar compositions but with a Ge barrier.
