A Steenrod square on Khovanov homology [PDF]
In a previous paper, we defined a space‐level version XKh(L) of Khovanov homology. This induces an action of the Steenrod algebra on Khovanov homology. In this paper, we describe the first interesting operation, Sq2:Khi,j(L)→Khi+2,j(L) .

Robotic Needle Steering for Percutaneous Interventions: Sensing, Modeling, and Control
This review examines recent advances in robotic needle steering for percutaneous interventions, highlighting closed‐loop sensing, physics‐informed tissue‐needle interaction modeling, and real‐time trajectory planning and control. It synthesizes innovations in deep learning, fiber‐optic feedback, and adaptive control strategies, and outlines emerging ...

Objective Socioeconomic status (SES) and lifestyle activities (LA) are strongly related, and both are associated with dementia risk. We investigated the influence of SES and LA on brain atrophy and cognitive decline considering amyloid‐beta (Aβ) positron emission tomography and white matter hyperintensity (WMH) load.

Approximating the principal matrix square root using some novel third-order iterative methods
It is known that the matrix square root has a significant role in linear algebra computations arisen in engineering and sciences. Any matrix with no eigenvalues in R- has a unique square root for which every eigenvalue lies in the open right half-plane ...

Sine-square deformation of solvable spin chains and conformal field theories [PDF]
We study solvable spin chains, one-dimensional massless Dirac fermions and conformal field theories (CFTs) with sine-square deformation (SSD), in which the Hamiltonian density is modulated by the function f(x) = sin 2(πx/ℓ), where x is the position and ℓ

Low‐Energy Atomic Scattering: S‐Wave Relation Between the Interaction Potential and the Phase Shift
The validity of the on‐shell approximation for s‐wave scattering is examined across one, two, and three dimensions using exactly solvable model interaction potentials. By comparing exact and approximate s‐wave components of the interaction potential, the analysis reveals that the approximation improves with increasing momentum and decreasing ...

Upper bounds on the growth rates of hard squares and related models via corner transfer matrices [PDF]
We study the growth rate of the hard squares lattice gas, equivalent to the number of independent sets on the square lattice, and two related models — non-attacking kings and read-write isolated memory.
