On the Rarefied Thermally-Driven Flows in Cavities and Bends
This study examined rarefied thermally-driven flow in a square cavity (Case 1) and rectangular bend (Case 2), with various uniform wall temperatures in two dimensions.

Compressibility Effects on Turbulent Heat Transfer of Natural Convection in a Square Cavity
Heat transfer in turbulent flows is one of the essential topics in power plants and thermal-based engineering. This study aims to analyze the effects of density changes due to heat transfer in a turbulent environment—which is usually neglected because it

Study on the heating characteristics of microwave double resonators under uniform radiation
Microwave heating are generally performed in the device with a square resonant cavity, rather than a cylindrical resonant cavity, under the frequency of 2.45 GHz.

Plasmonic switch based on asymmetric cavities with embedding square of gold inside the cavities [PDF]
Abstract In this paper, we proposed an all-optical plasmonic switch based on metal-insulator-metal (MIM) structures. We used the intrinsic nonlinear properties of gold to implement the switch. The proposed switch consists of a bus waveguide side coupled with a pair of asymmetric vertical cavities.

The current manifestation is utilized to explicate the inspiration of combined convection flows in a cavity with a square cylinder placed at the center of the cavity having coordinates (0.5, 0.5). To be more specific, right- and left-sided vertical walls

THE IMPROVEMENT AND REALIZATION OF FINITE-DIFFERENCE LATTICE BOLTZMANN METHOD
The Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is a numerical method developed in recent decades. It has the characteristics of high parallel efficiency and simple boundary processing. The basic idea is to construct a simplified dynamic model so that the macroscopic

Multispectral Quantum Dots-in-a-Well Infrared Detectors Using Plasmon Assisted Cavities [PDF]
We present the design, fabrication, and characterization, of multi-spectral quantum dots-in-a-well (DWELL) infrared detectors, by the integration of a surface plasmon assisted resonant cavity with the infrared detector.

Crosstalk Reduction in Square Cavities
Theoretically and experimentally, we demonstrate that low crosstalk between two crossed line-defect waveguides formed in a square lattice photonic crystal (PC) structure can be achieved using a resonant cavity at the intersection area. The PC resonator consists of cubic air-holes in silicon air-holes.

Mixed Convection from Inclined Square Cylinder in a Square Cavity
In this work, mixed convection from an inclined square cylinder in a cavity is numerically investigated. A commercial CFD solver Ansys Fluent is used to solve the problem. First, the inclined square cylinder is located at the center of the cavity, then the location of the cylinder is changed along the x-axis.
