Entropy generation in a square cavity

International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat & Fluid Flow, 2010
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to study flow over two heat generating porous blocks situated in a cavity, and examine the effects of porous blocks geometric orientations in the cavity (configurations) and the amount of heat generation in the blocks on entropy generation rate due to heat transfer and fluid flow.Design/methodology/approach – Four

Efficient Mesh for Driven Square Cavity

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2010
In this paper, an improved lattice Boltzmann scheme is used to simulate steady incompressible flow inside a square cavity. The newly improved scheme is applied for driven square cavity. Numerical simulations are carried out for Reynolds number equal to 5000. The governing equation used is the double‐population lattice Boltzmann formulation.

Uterine Cavity Synechiae After Hemostatic Square Suturing Technique

Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2005
A number of surgical techniques to control severe bleeding at cesarean delivery have been proposed, such as uterine artery ligation, hypogastric artery ligation, and uterine compression suturing.A primigravida with severe postpartum hemorrhage and disseminated intravascular coagulopathy had multiple square sutures placed through the uterus.

Impact of Soret and Dufour on bioconvective flow of nanofluid in porous square cavity

Heat Transfer, 2021
This article addresses the bioconvection in a porous cavity associated with Soret and Dufour effects. The bioconvective flow in a porous medium is based on Hillesdon and Pedley's model and is governed by nonlinear partial differential equations.

Marangoni Convection in a Square Porous Cavity

International Journal of Computational Fluid Dynamics, 1998
Convection may occur in different processes, which may not depend on the buoyancy force. One of these processes is due to the surface tension gradient also known as Marangoni convection. Such convection creates a strong flow leading to instability for a fluid. Porous medium consists of solid matrix with an interconnected void filled with a fluid. A new
