Melting of unfixed solids in square cavities
International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow, 1999Abstract A fixed-grid enthalpy method is employed to study the melting of an unfixed solid in a square cavity. The cavity is initially filled with the solid material. The walls are heated and the solid is released as a result of melting near the walls.

Oscillatory flow inside a square cavity
Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 1982The flow inside a square cavity, generated by a uniform oscillatory motion of the upper cavity wall, is investigated. Numerical solutions of the full unsteady Navier–Stokes equations are computed for a selection of Reynolds’ numbers and frequency parameters in the range 0–600.

Oscillatory square cavity flows of binary gas mixtures
Physics of Fluids, 2021The linear oscillation of rarefied binary gas mixtures inside a two-dimensional square cavity is studied based on the McCormack model. The discrete unified gas kinetic scheme is applied to solving this problem over wide ranges of the Knudsen number and the oscillation frequency.

Ventilation of Square Cavity Containing a Heat Source
Defect and Diffusion Forum, 2021A numerical simulation of turbulent mixed convection of a ventilated cavity containing a heat source placed of the center has been carried out. This cavity is outfitted along couple holes: one placed within the lower left corner and the other in the top right corner. The width of the hole "H" represents is 1/5 of the length of the cavity side.
