Realisation of low-voltage square-root-domain all-pass filters [PDF]

open access: yesMaejo International Journal of Science and Technology, 2013
Novel l ow-voltage first-order and second-order square-root-domain all-pass filters derived systematically by means of transfer function decomposition and state -space synthesis techniques are proposed.

The 'Square Root' of the Interacting Dirac Equation

open access: yes, 2004
The 'square root' of the interacting Dirac equation is constructed. The obtained equations lead to the Yang-Mills superfield with the appropriate equations of motion for the component fields.Comment: 6 ...

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

Analysis of Asymptotic and Transient Behaviors of Stochastic Ratio-Dependent Predator–Prey Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In this paper, we focus on the asymptotic and transient dynamics of the studied ecosystem and measure the response to perturbation of the stochastic ratio-dependent predator–prey model.

Square root voting system, optimal threshold and \pi

open access: yes, 2012
The problem of designing an optimal weighted voting system for the two-tier voting, applicable in the case of the Council of Ministers of the European Union (EU), is investigated.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Evaluation of SSM-Wheat Model in Simulating the Growth and Development of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Cultivars in Different Planting Densities [PDF]

open access: yesبوم شناسی کشاورزی
IntroductionWheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the most important and widely consumed crops in the world. Changing the density towards an optimal density can alter the ratio of soil evaporation to plant transpiration in such a way that water use ...

Soundness and completeness of quantum root-mean-square errors [PDF]

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information, 2018
Defining and measuring the error of a measurement is one of the most fundamental activities in experimental science. However, quantum theory shows a peculiar difficulty in extending the classical notion of root-mean-square (rms) error to quantum ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
