The notion of a replica of a nontrivial in-tree is defined. A result enabling to determine whether an in-tree is a replica of another in-tree employing an injective mapping between some subsets of sources of these in-trees is presented.

On the matrix square root via geometric optimization
This paper is triggered by the preprint "\emph{Computing Matrix Squareroot via Non Convex Local Search}" by Jain et al. (\textit{\textcolor{blue}{arXiv:1507.05854}}), which analyzes gradient-descent for computing the square root of a positive definite ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

FPGA-based Low Latency Square Root CORDIC Algorithm
The coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) algorithm is a popular method used in many fields of science and technology. Unfortunately, it is a time-consuming process for central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs), and ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Quantum Cryptography: Security Criteria Reexamined
We find that the generally accepted security criteria are flawed for a whole class of protocols for quantum cryptography. This is so because a standard assumption of the security analysis, namely that the so-called square-root measurement is optimal for ...

Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

A Stochastically Correlated Bivariate Square-Root Model
We introduce a novel stochastically correlated two-factor (i.e., bivariate) diffusion process under the square-root format, for which we analytically obtain the corresponding solutions for the conditional moment-generating functions and conditional ...

A Modification of the Fast Inverse Square Root Algorithm
We present a new algorithm for the approximate evaluation of the inverse square root for single-precision floating-point numbers. This is a modification of the famous fast inverse square root code.
