Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...

Charge density wave in hidden order state of URu$_2$Si$_2$
We argue that the hidden order state in URu$_2$Si$_2$ will induce a charge density wave. The modulation vector of the charge density wave will be twice that of the hidden order state, $Q_{CDW} = 2Q_{HO}$.

Modulating Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Pathways via Interfacial Electric Field
Engineering interfacial electric fields in Cu/ITO electrodes enables precise control of CO2 reduction pathways. Charge transfer from Cu to ITO generates positively charged Cu species that steer selectivity from ethylene toward methane. This work demonstrates how interfacial electric‐field modulation can direct reaction intermediates and transform ...

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

Wave Forces on Square Caissons
The forces and overturning moments exerted by waves on large vertical square-section caissons have been measured in the laboratory. Each model caisson extended from the bottom of a wave flume through the water surface and was oriented either with one side perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation or turned through an angle of forty-five ...

This study examines how pore shape and manufacturing‐induced deviations affect the mechanical properties of 3D‐printed lattice materials with constant porosity. Combining µ‐CT analysis, FEM, and compression testing, the authors show that structural imperfections reduce stiffness and strength, while bulk material inhomogeneities probably enhance ...

Square rooter using saw tooth wave-based time division technique
A simple square rooter using two op-amps and a switch is described. It uses a saw tooth wave as reference clock and the square rooting principle is obtained by a time division technique. The circuit accepts an input dc voltages V(I) and produce an output

Research on spacecraft electrical power conversion [PDF]
The steady state characteristics and starting behavior of some widely used self-oscillating magnetically coupled square wave inverters were studied and the development of LC-tuned square wave inverters is reported.
