Multi-frequency analysis in a single square-wave chronoamperometric experiment

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications, 2021
A multi-frequency analysis in a single SW chronoamperometric protocol is proposed, developed from the recently introduced technique termed as electrochemical faradaic spectroscopy (EFS).

Local smoothing estimates for the massless Dirac-coulomb equation in 2 and 3 dimensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We prove local smoothing estimates for the massless Dirac equation with a Coulomb potential in 2 and 3 space dimensions. Our strategy of proof is inspired by a paper of Burq et al.

Photoswitchable Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A conductive material where the conductivity can be modulated remotely by irradiation with light is presented. It is based on films of conductive metal–organic framework type Cu3(HHTP)2 with embedded photochromic molecules such as azobenzene, diarylethene, spiropyran, and hexaarylbiimidazole in the pores.

Structure of the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov state in two-dimensional superconductors

open access: yes, 1998
Nonuniform superconducting state due to strong spin magnetism is studied in two-dimensional type-II superconductors near the second order phase transition line between the normal and the superconducting states.

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Resolving the wave-vector in negative refractive media: The sign of $\sqrt{Z}$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We address the general issue of resolving the wave-vector in complex electromagnetic media including negative refractive media. This requires us to make a physical choice for the sign of a square-root imposed merely by conditions of causality.

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Benchmark experimental study on wave run-ups of fixed four-rounded-square-column array in regular waves

open access: yesJournal of Ocean Engineering and Science, 2022
Wave run-up on surface-piercing columns is an important phenomenon in offshore engineering. Previous studies have mainly focused on a single column and circular column arrays.
