Gold(I) Phosphine/Phosphido‐Borohydride Complexes

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Synthesis, structure, and electrochemical characteristics of a homologous series of gold(I) complexes featuring phosphine and phosphido–borohydride ligands. A homologous series of linear, mononuclear gold(I) phosphine/phosphido‐borohydride complexes, encompassing [Au(PR3)2]+ 1, [Au(PR3)(PR2BH3)] 2 and [Au(PR2BH3)2]– 3 (R = tBu, Ad), has been prepared ...

Reactive selenium induced near‐surface reconstruction to stabilize high‐voltage, cobalt‐free cathodes for high‐rate, long‐cycling lithium batteries

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
To address the challenges of structural degradation and side reactions with the electrolyte during cycling for spinel LNMO cathode, we propose a reactive Se‐induced near‐surface reconstruction strategy, integrating SeOx coating and Se doping into the near‐surface of LNMO via a one‐step selenization process.

Conjugation‐mediated and polarity‐switchable interfacial layers for fast cycling of lithium‐metal batteries

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Thiophene‐embedded solid electrolyte interphase exhibits switchable polarity for uniform Li plating, and the electron‐rich cathode electrolyte interphase stabilizes high‐valence Ni ions in the cathode. These molecularly engineered interfacial layers enable fast cycling of lithium‐metal batteries for practical applications.
