Deep‐learning models of the ascending proprioceptive pathway are subject to illusions
Abstract Proprioception is essential for perception and action. Like any other sense, proprioception is also subject to illusions. In this study, we model classic proprioceptive illusions in which tendon vibrations lead to biases in estimating the state of the body.

Sampling biases often distort the evaluation of ecological niche models and undermine the reliability of conventional performance metrics. Our improved MaxEnt framework integrates an extended set of evaluation metrics into a data‐driven multi‐criteria‐decision process that objectively selects the model that performs best in multiple validation ...

Abstract Background The choice of nuclear interaction models in Monte Carlo simulations affects the dose calculation accuracy for light ion beam therapy. Purpose This study aimed to evaluate the dose calculation accuracy and simulation time of three GATE‐RTiON/Geant4 physics lists for therapeutic carbon ion beams, assessing their suitability for ...

Effect of Anesthesia and Diurnal Variation on Chronic Vagus Nerve Activity in Rats
Here we report the surgical implantation of CNTY electrodes within the vagus nerve and external electrodes for common‐mode signal detection, to enable chronic recording from freely moving Sprague Dawley rats. Vagus nerve electrograms show suppressed electrical activity under isoflurane anesthesia and robust activity otherwise.
