Hydrogen Permeability of Tubular Polymer Membranes for Biological Methanation Membrane Reactors
A reproducible method for permeability measurements of tubular polymer membranes is developed and combined with a comprehensive review of hydrogen permeability data. Based on this analysis, a suitable tubular polymer membrane is identified for application in biological methanation within membrane reactors.

A cost‐effective DNA extraction protocol for long‐read sequencing in non‐model plants
Abstract Premise Third‐generation sequencing has revolutionized genomics, enabling in‐depth analysis of genome sequence, structure, and epigenetic features. Yet, extracting high‐quality DNA for long‐read sequencing remains a bottleneck—particularly in non‐model plants, such as mature trees growing in natural environments, which often contain abundant ...

Design of a test rig for squeeze film dampers

ABSTRACT We introduce a family of bosonic quantum error‐correcting codes built as a rotation‐symmetric superposition of squeezed vacuum states, which promise protection against both loss and dephasing noise channels. The robustness of these “squeezed‐vacuum codes” arises from being arranged at evenly spaced angles in phase‐space, and simultaneously in ...

Recent Advances in Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Integrated Photonics
This review systematically surveys recent advances in stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) within integrated photonics. It begins by elucidating the fundamental mechanisms of stimulated coupling between photons and acoustic phonons in nanoscale waveguides, enhanced by the photoelastic and moving boundary effects.

Functional morphology of the pharyngeal teeth of the ocean sunfish, Mola mola
Abstract Many fish use a set of pharyngeal jaws in their throat to aid in prey capture and processing, particularly of large or complex prey. In this study—combining dissection, CT scanning, histology, and performance testing—we demonstrate a novel use of pharyngeal teeth in the ocean sunfish (Mola mola), a species for which pharyngeal jaw anatomy had ...

An Analysis of the Squeeze Film Between Porous Rectangular Plates
The squeeze film between two rectangular plates when one has a porous facing is studied theoretically. The problem is described by the modified Reynolds equation in the film region and the Laplace equation in the porous region.

ABSTRACT Small cultural museums play an important role in sustaining local heritage, community identity and inclusive cultural participation, yet they face persistent financial and organisational constraints. This study examines how financial sustainability is achieved and maintained in three small cultural museums through a qualitative‐led mixed ...
