Influence of Higher Tramp Element Level on the Weldability of Automotive Steels

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
The use of green recycled steels is constantly expanding in the automotive industry. The increase in tramp elements resulting from the recycling of steel is problematic. Tramp elements can lead to a negative influence on the weldability. To understand the influence, the welding properties of three green steels are characterized. The potential limits of

Experimental and theoretical investigation of longitudinal tunnel lining joints with confining reinforcement

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Precast reinforced concrete segmental linings are frequently used in modern tunneling. In these linings, the longitudinal joints typically have a reduced contact cross‐section and thus often govern the design, particularly in tunnels under high hydrostatic pressure or crossing squeezing or swelling ground with correspondingly high ...

“For three of my four miscarriages I was at work…” Experiences of miscarriage, infertility and assisted fertility in veterinary workplaces

open access: yesVeterinary Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Miscarriage, infertility and assisted fertility (MIAF) can profoundly impact physical and mental health. The aims of this study were to investigate how veterinary professionals’ work environments and employers impacted their experiences of MIAF and to identify how workplace experiences of MIAF could be improved.

AML‐Net: Attention‐based multi‐scale lightweight model for brain tumour segmentation in internet of medical things

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Brain tumour segmentation employing MRI images is important for disease diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment planning. Till now, many encoder‐decoder architectures have been developed for this purpose, with U‐Net being the most extensively utilised. However, these architectures require a lot of parameters to train and have a semantic gap. Some

Compact tape‐driven sample delivery system for serial femtosecond crystallography

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, EarlyView.
A tape‐driven liquid sample droplet delivery system for serial femtosecond crystallography is described. We have developed a compact tape drive (CoT) with on‐demand sample delivery for time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography (SFX) experiments, which can deliver sample droplets and/or initiate reactions with a drop‐on‐drop strategy.
