Non-classical Photon Statistics For Two-mode Optical Fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The non-classical property of subpoissonian photon statistics is extended from one to two-mode electromagnetic fields, incorporating the physically motivated property of invariance under passive unitary transformations.

Squeezing of a coupled state of two spinors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The notion of spin squeezing involves reduction in the uncertainty of a component of the spin vector below a certain limit. This aspect has been studied earlier for pure and mixed states of definite spin.

Non-Markovian Dynamics of Spin Squeezing

open access: yes, 2013
We evaluate the spin squeezing dynamics of N independent spin-1/2 particles with exchange symmetry. Each spin interacts with its own reservoir, and the reservoirs are independently and identical.

Spin-Nematic Squeezed Vacuum in a Quantum Gas

open access: yes, 2012
Using squeezed states it is possible to surpass the standard quantum limit of measurement uncertainty by reducing the measurement uncertainty of one property at the expense of another complementary property.

Influence of intrinsic decoherence on nonclassical properties of the output of a Bose-Einstein condensate

open access: yes, 2005
We investigate nonclassical properties of the output of a Bose-Einstein condensate in Milburn's model of intrinsic decoherence. It is shown that the squeezing property of the atom laser is suppressed due to decoherence. Nevertheless, if some very special

Theory of quantum fluctuations of optical dissipative structures and its application to the squeezing properties of bright cavity solitons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present a method for the study of quantum fluctuations of dissipative structures forming in nonlinear optical cavities, which we illustrate in the case of a degenerate, type I optical parametric oscillator.

Quantum interference of ultrastable twin optical beams

open access: yes, 2004
We report the first measurement of the quantum phase-difference noise of an ultrastable nondegenerate optical parametric oscillator that emits twin beams classically phase-locked at exact frequency degeneracy.

Entanglement degradation of a two-mode squeezed vacuum in absorbing and amplifying optical fibers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Applying the recently developed formalism of quantum-state transformation at absorbing dielectric four-port devices [L.~Kn\"oll, S.~Scheel, E.~Schmidt, D.-G.~Welsch, and A.V.~Chizhov, Phys. Rev. A {\bf 59}, 4716 (1999)], we calculate the quantum state of

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

On the Phase-Space Volume of Primordial Cosmological Perturbations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
We show how to determine the typical phase space volume $\Gamma$ for primordial gravitational waves produced during an inflationary stage, which is invariant under squeezing. An expression for $\Gamma$ is found in the long wavelength regime.
