Bioinspired Hierarchically Interconnected Supermacroporous Hydrogels via Dual‐Templating for Rapid Atmospheric Water Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by lung alveolar architecture, a dual‐templating strategy combining CO2 bubble and ice templating creates mechanically robust super‐macroporous hydrogels with highly interconnected transport pathways. The resulting material achieves 3.37× faster moisture sorption and 1.72× higher solar‐driven water release than single‐templated counterparts ...

Hausdorff and fractal dimensions of attractors for functional differential equations in Banach spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The main objective of this paper is to obtain estimations of Hausdorff dimension as well as fractal dimension of global attractors and pullback attractors for both autonomous and nonautonomous functional differential equations (FDEs) in Banach spaces ...

Ultrawide Bandwidth Optomechanical Magnetometry Using Flux Concentration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐permeability flux concentrators enable ultrawide‐bandwidth chip‐scale optomechanical magnetometry by exploiting magnetic nonlinearity to up‐convert low‐frequency fields to the mechanical resonance, where sensitivity is optimal. This enables flat wideband operation over more than four orders of magnitude, from tens of kilohertz to sub‐hertz ...

Generalised squeezing and information theory approach to quantum entanglement [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
It is shown that the usual one- and two-mode squeezing are based on reducible representations of the SU(1,1) group. Generalized squeezing is introduced with the use of different SU(1,1) rotations on each irreducible sector.

Observation of a displaced squeezed state in high-harmonic generation

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
High-harmonic generation (HHG) and quantum optics are historically two distant fields of science. HHG as a central technique to generate attosecond pulses via atoms, molecules, or solids has been mostly treated as a classical source of light ...

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

Detecting topological entanglement entropy in a lattice of quantum harmonic oscillators

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
The Kitaev surface code model is the most studied example of a topologically ordered phase and typically involves four-spin interactions on a two-dimensional surface.

A Cu‐Based Near‐IR Active MOF with an Ion‐Pair Guest Exhibiting Versatile and Selective Gas‐Solid Reactivity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

The squeezing function on doubly-connected domains via the Loewner differential equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Inspired by the work of Liu, Sun and Yau (2004) on holomorphic homogeneous regular (HHR) domains and Yeung (2009)’s work on domains with uniform squeezing property (another name for HHR domains), Deng, Guan and Zhang (2012) introduced a new biholomorphic
